    An Equipment Operator responsibilities are carried out by a skilled person who does this job with safety and precision. Successful candidates will be able to drive a semi truck with a low-boy and a 160HP farm tractor.

     

    Location :Project will run from SE of Edmonton to Hardisty

    Start Date:ASAP

    Duration:3-4 Weeks

    Rotation : 6/1
    Hours: 10 Hrs per day
    LOA: $160 (7 days a week)
    Travel: Provded $125 MOB IN/ $125 MOB OUT

     

    Responsibilities

     The Equipment Operator is responsible for, but not limited to:

     

    • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
    • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, clean, lubricate and refill equipment as necessary
    • Follow directions of ground crew regarding craning, material placement and grading
    • Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance
    • Be aware of proper rigging and ensure safe work procedures are followed during the lowering of materials into the excavation
    • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation 
    • Ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with the principles of the company’s code of ethics at all times
    • Examine all situations in light of the principles of the code of ethics
    • Operate the equipment in the right direction and angle to prevent accidents and damage of property
    • Report to the foreman
    • Perform other duties, as and when assigned

    Qualifications

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must be able to drive a semi with low boy and a 160HP farm tractor
    • Requires the ability to exercise independent judgment and basic reasoning skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
    • Strong analytical, communication and multi-tasking skills
    • Must be flexible, responsive and resourceful

     

    SAFETY TRAINING

    • CSTS-09
    • Standard First Aid / CPR
    • CSTS or PCST
    • Ground Disturbance II
    • Drivers License and a 3 Year Abstract
